Over 500 PDP supporters defect to ADC in Kebbi
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has received over 500 de-campees from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State.
While receiving the decampees in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, the state Chairman of the party, Engr. Sufiyanu Bala, told them that they would be accorded with all the necessary consideration in the party.
He assured the de-campees of good treatment as family members of the ADC in the state.
“The task of carrying on with the people -oriented programmes of the ADC are enormous.
“We, therefore, plead with the electorate in the state to extend their support in the February 2023 elections to all the ADC candidates in the state,” Bala said.
The Chairman directed the party executives in all the 21 local government areas to fully integrate them into the party’s affairs.

In his remarks, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, who led the decampees to the ADC, said that they dumped PDP and joined the ADC because of the injustice by the PDP in selecting its candidates in the primary election.
“Also we have realised that ADC is a party that offers members a stake in the party.
“The members are stakeholders and owners of the party, because the idea of ADC is for members to contribute to the running of the party.
“It is a grassroots party where you are the owner and you are involved in the running,” he said.
