2023: Support group, Jarma Peace, restates loyalty to Tambuwal, PDP in Sokoto
A Sokoto-based political group Jarma Peace and Stability, had restated its loyalty to Gov. Aminu Tambuwal and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
The organisation, which was established in support of Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo, a philanthropist, functioned prominently in the year 2005 during the administration of Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa.
Addressing newsmen in Sokoto on Friday, Mr. Jafar Dan-Nayaba, Sokoto North Coordinator of the group said their position followed rumours mking rounds that Kwabo wad planning to leave PDP.

“As officials of Jarma Peace and Stability, we are not intimated on the rumoured plan.
“However, in the event it is true, we hereby categorically state our resolve to remain in the PDP.
“Our decision is informed by the achievements so far recorded by the administration of Gov. Tambuwal in the state,” he said.
Dan-Nayaba added that the group had chosen to remain strongly behind the leadership of PDP and ensure its victory in the 2023 general elections.
