Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON and the Chairman APC Progressives Governors’ Forum said supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become Nigeria’s next President was the right thing to do by the people of Kebbi State and Nigeria in general.
The Governor stated this in Koko town, Koko Besse local Government on Monday while addressing thousands of APC supporters at the ongoing state-wide APC campaign rally.
Bagudu reaffirmed that APC has chosen Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its presidential candidate and Kashim Shatima as his running mate in the best interest of Nigeria.
“Supporting the candidature of Tinubu is the right thing to do for the North since he led the South West to support President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.
”Supporting Tinubu is the right thing to do for the North since he threw his support to Buhari in 2015 to become president.
” It is only expedient for the North to support Asiwaju, the North is known for keeping its words.This will ensure peace and development’, he assured.
Bagudu also told the gathering that the party has settled for Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, a respectable gentleman and an eminent labour leader as the governorship flag bearer, urging people to support the duo of Kaura and Tafida.
He also called on the people of the area to vote Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, Dan Fari as the House of Representatives Member for Koko/Maiyama Federal Constituency and Hon. Abubakar Imam for the State House of Assembly.

He reminded women in the area of the ongoing Nigeria for Women Project empowerment program and urged them to take advantage of it.
” Eighteen thousand women will benefit from Nigeria for Women Project in Koko Besse, the programme is ongoing so don’t be left out,’ he urged.
The Progressive Governor’s Forum Chairman who is vying for Kebbi Central Senatorial constituency also expressed gratitude to women for their huge crowd thanking them for their patience to receive the APC campaign train.
In his address, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu thanked people of Koko for coming massively out for APC.
He assured them that, if elected, his administration would promote empowerment programnes and boost businesses for the people of the area and provide meaningful projects in the area.
The Chairman of Koko Local Government Area, Hon. Yahaya Bello, the State House of Assembly Member, Hon. Abubakar Imam Maye, Alhaji Isah Dan Madina, a staunch APC member in the area and Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, Dan Fari, APC candidate for the National House of Representatives, all appreciated people of Koko for trooping out for APC.
APC Zonal Vice Chairman, Kebbi Central, Alhaji Abubakar Bello Matawallen Bunza and Hajiya Fatima, women leader, solicited for support for APC, saying that the party is an organized one for people of Kebbi State.
Earlier, the APC campaign team paid courtesy visit to the District Head of Lani, Sarkin Sudan, Dr. Abubakar Bature Koko,District Head of Koko, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Koko, who was represented by the Dangaladima Alhaji Musa Salihu Koko and the palace of the Sanyinnan Besse, Alhaji Muhammadu Nasiru to seek for their fatherly blessings.
The Governor also addressed hundreds of APC women supporters in Besse town.
