Margaret Oyibo Atayi, a 27-year-old mother of two, who was reported missing on Thursday, May 16, 2024, has tragically been discovered deceased. The somber revelation came through a heartfelt Facebook post by Margaret’s sister, Ochanya Chelle.
Despite the relief of finding her, Chelle lamented Margaret’s passing, expressing gratitude to friends for their unwavering support during the search. However, details surrounding Margaret’s untimely demise remain undisclosed.
According to information, Margaret’s lifeless body was found late on Monday evening, marking the end of a distressing five-day search.
Earlier reports from PUNCH Metro indicated that Margaret’s mother, Mrs. Helen Atayi, recounted the last moments before her daughter’s disappearance. Margaret was last sighted near City College of Education on Abacha Road, Mararaba, close to Abuja, before abruptly leaving her residence at 3 a.m. on the day she vanished.
Mrs. Atayi, distraught by her daughter’s absence, disclosed that Margaret leaves behind a grieving husband and two young children.
It was further revealed that Margaret hailed from Ugbokolo, Okpokwu LGA of Benue State, painting a picture of a life cut short tragically and leaving behind a shattered family grappling with unanswered questions and profound loss.
