Police rescue 10 women kidnaped victims including a year old baby
The Zamfara State Police Command on Friday succeeded in rescuing 10 women kidnaped victims including a year old baby after spending three days in captivity.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu.
According to the statement, Zamfara police command under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf has succeeded in the rescue of 10 kidnaped women victims and a year old child, following an extensive/successful search and rescue operations at Gando forest in Bukkuyum local government area of the state.

“On Monday 17th October, 2022 , a group of bandits terrorist invaded Manye village in Anka LGA and abducted 10 women and a 1 year old child to Gando forest in Bukkuyum LGA of the state.
“Receiving the report, the Commissioner of police, Kolo Yusuf deployed additional police tactical operatives to reinforce Anka Divisional Police Officer and vigilante in rescue operation.

“The task that was successfully accomplished with the full support of stakeholders particularly the Sole Administrator of Anka LGA”, Shehu said.
He said all the rescued victims have already taken to the hospital for medical check, debriefed by police detectives and handed over their respective families.
The Commissioner of Police while commending the sole Administrator, Anka LGA for the full support and partnership during the rescue operation, congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom.
