Insurgency: MNJTF troops recovers 500 bicycles, cattle in Borno
Troops of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have recovered over 500 bicycles, cache of arms and over 100 cows from Boko-Haram terrorists in Kirawa axis of Borno.
The cow were returned to thier owners in Nigeria and Cameroon.
This was made known to the Force Commander MNJTF, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Khalifah Ibrahim during his operational visit to MNJTF Stabilisation Foward Operation Base (FOB) in the border town of kirawa.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday issued by Chief of Military Public Information Office of the task force, Lt. Col. Kamarudeen Adegoke.

According to him, the information was disclosed to the Force Commander MNJTF, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Khalifah Ibrahim during his operational visit to MNJTF Stabilisation Foward Operation Base (FOB) in the border town of kirawa.
Ibrahim was also informed that about 10,000 displaced persons have returned home following the restoration of peace and normalcy in the area.
“The Force Commander appreciated the efforts of the FOB Stabilization Force on the achievements recorded which has enabled the refugees to return to their various homes and allowed economic activities to thrive in their Area of Responsibilities.

“The deployment of the MNJTF FOB Stabilization Force to the area and their remarkable synergy and cooperation with troops of Operation Hadin Kai has denied the Boko Haram /ISWAP Terrorists the use of the areas as a mobility corridor to ferry supplies to their men.
“The force commander used the occasion to address the Kirawa community led by the District Head, Mallam Abdulraham Abubakar who spoke on behalf of the community.
“The district head praised the efforts put in place by the MNJTF and Operation Hadin Kai troops to ensure total eradication of terrorists activities in the area.
“He said farmers had cultivated their lands spanning over 14 kilometres of land which was hitherto not possible and are expecting a bumper harvest, the first in over nine years,” Adegoke stated.
