Nasarawa council tasks education secretary on hard work

The Chairman of Doma Local Government Council in Nasarawa State, Mr Ahmed Usman, has charged the newly appointed education secretary of the area, Mr Ahmed Abubakar, to upscale the standard of education in the area.

Usman gave the task while presenting the appointment letter to Abubakar, advising him to live above board while discharging his duties.

The chairman presented the appointment letter to the appointee on Thursday in Doma.

He identified education as key to nation building while encouraging Abubakar to work hard towards promoting primary education in the area.

“Education is key to human and societal development, hence the need for you to ensure effective supervision and monitoring of teachers for quality education.

“As no society will achieve meaningful progress and development without sound education,” he said.

The chairman explained that his appointment was based on merit and his contributions to the development of primary education in the state.

While congratulating the appointee, the council boss assured of his administration’s readiness to prioritise the education and other unnamed critical sectors.

Responding, Abubabkar appreciated the chairman for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to continue to contribute positively to the promotion of education sector in the area.

He assured of his commitment to address the challenges confronting the system for yhe better.

The new education scribe pledged to live above board, and discharge his duties without fear or favour.
