Taraba LG elections: Why I’m contesting for Jalingo Council Chairmanship – Hassan

The immediate past Caretaker committee Chairman of Jalingo Local government area Honorable Aminu Jauro Hassan on Saturday said that he is contesting for the Chairmanship of Jalingo Local government area ahead of the November polls to complete the works he started in tackling insecurity and entrenching good governance.
In a statement issued in Jalingo, Hassan said that through an all inclusive security alert system that he introduced, incidents of kidnapping and other security challenges were greatly checked and it was important to continue and entrench the system for sustained impact.
He noted that his enormous experience and firsthand knowledge in governing the local government has made him most suitable for the job and urges the people to throw their weight behind him to win the election and work towards actualizing the dreamed Jalingo.
“I write to formally declare my intention to contest for the Chairmanship position of Jalingo Local Government in the upcoming November 2023 Local Government Elections in Taraba State, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I present myself as a dedicated and committed candidate who is passionate about serving the people of Jalingo Local Government Council, believing that my experience, leadership qualities, and vision can contribute significantly to the development and progress of our dear local government.
“My decision to contest for the Chairmanship position is driven by my unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the residents of Jalingo Local Government through strategic planning, efficient resource management, and targeted development initiatives. I am determined to address key issues such as security, education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and youths/women empowerment.
“Furthermore, I recognize the importance of community participation and will work tirelessly to ensure inclusive governance that reflects the aspirations and needs of our diverse population. I am dedicated to working closely with the party leadership, members, and stakeholders in Jalingo Local Government Council.

“I am fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but I am prepared to face them head -on with your sup ports. And when the time is due, I will be committed to running a transparent, accountable, and issue -based campaign, focused on engaging with the electorate, understanding their concerns, and proposing practical solutions.
“I kindly solicit your support and votes in the upcoming council elections. I am confident that, with your backing, support and cooperation, I will effectively represent the party’s values and work tirelessly to uplift the lives of our people” he said.
Hassan is reputed to have brought about more stability and development to the local government under a short period since the creation of the local government three decades ago.
