PCC trained 51 staff in Zamfara to boost service delivery

The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) has commenced training of its staff in Zamfara state on leadership and team management to boost service delivery.

The State Director of the Commission, Ibrahim Mainasara disclosed this at the  sideline interview with newsmen at the training session in Gusau on Thursday.

“The PCC headquarters organized a Three-day training on leadership management for it’s staff in Zamfara.

“You know, this is part of the commission’s efforts to widen the knowledge and scope of its staff towards delivering on its mandate as the watchdog of the society,

“This is to equip our staff to expand their knowledge to know more about ethics of our constitutional responsibility”, Mainasara said.

“Our major role is to investigate and resolve complaints against government at all level, private sector as well as administration injustice”, he explained.

He added that a total of 51 participants of this training are all staff of Zamfara commission’s office.

Also speaking, a facilitator of the training from PCC headquarters Abuja, Mr Kingsley Ejimafor said the training was conducted in many states.

“We made many presentations to the participants on how to resolved disputes, we also trained them on leadership and management.

“At the end of the training we expect our staff to know more about their duties, jurisdictions and powers.

One of the participants, Dahiru Shehu said the workshop has touched many areas of mandates and duties of the civil servants.

“We have learned alot about communication skills and complict resolutions,

“This training has given us opportunities to learn how to resolved issues concerning civilians, companies and staff as well as other disputes prevailing in the society”, he said.

Maryam Muhammad, also a participant said as PCC staff the training improved her capacity to know more about her duties.

“This training is timely, we really need it, you know, we deal with people , we listen to their complains as well as finding solutions to their problems.

“We learned alot on how to manage time and a team work”, She said.
