Ego Nwosu: How I Survived As An Upcoming Actress

Nollywood actress, Ego Nwosu has explained how she was able to navigate the Nigeria movie industry as an upcoming actress.

In a recent interview, Nwosu said she did farming, real estate and even manage a clothing line so as to not rely on the income she earned as an incoming actress.

According to her: “Well generally in this industry when you are up and coming, people will try to take advantage of you one Way or the other.

Either some want you to keep using you and paying peanuts or some will disrespect you and think it’s okay because you just joined the industry.

“But I am someone that is quite industrious. I had other businesses I was doing that paid the bills. I had my clothing line in Abuja because I have always been a fashionable person.

“I did some farming and real estate. As a beginner in Nollywood I didn’t depend on the job to pay my bills, it was impossible because they were almost paying nothing at that stage.”

While speaking on the how things are now for her as some who is now grounded the fashion-preneur said: “The minute your career balances you would start enjoying it more, the job would start paying and more doors will keep opening up.

My life hasn’t been much different, I have always been a reserved and private person. I mind my business and respect myself at all times. That’s still my life!” (New Telegraph)
