RAMADAN: GUSAU LGA DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVE TO 354 POLLING UNITS
Gusau Local Government Council has distributed food items to 354 polling units across the 11 wards of the council as a ramadan packages.
Speaking at the distribution exercise in Gusau on Monday, Chairman Caretaker Committee of the Council, Alhaji Sanusi Sarki said the the gesture was provided by Governor Bello Matawalle to assist people especially at grassroots to perform ramadan fast with ease and happiness.
“We received 4,956 bags food items as follows: 2,124 bags of rice, 708 bags of millet, 1,416 bags of maize, 354 bags of beans and 354 bags of suger.

“Each of the 354 polling units across the 11 wards of the council will receive 14 bags of assorted grains including 6 bags of rice, 4 bags of maize, 1 bag of suger, 1 bags of beans and 2 bags of millet.
“We set up the distribution committees at wards and polling units for the distribution of the items as directed by the governor” Sarki explained.
Sarki commended Governor Bello Matawalle for providing the assistance aimed at reducing hardship being faced by the people.
He assured that the items would reach all the targeted beneficiaries.
He called on the distribution committee to ensure justice and fairness while distribution the items.
VMTNews reports that the state government has procured 450 truck load of food items for distribution as ramadan welfare package across the state.
