FEDERAL LAWMAKER DISTRIBUTES RAMADAN PACKAGES, CAR, CASH TO CONSTITUENTS IN ZAMFARA
The Lawmaker representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in Zamfara state, Alhaji Shehu Ahmad has flagged off distribution of ramadan welfare packages to people of his constituency.
Presenting the palliative items to some of the beneficiries in Gusau on Tuesday, Ahmad said that the gesture is aim to assist people of his constituency to perform ramadan fast with ease and happiness.
“This is also to complement the effort of Gov. Bello Matawalle in providing succor to reduce hardship being faced by the people especially in the holy month of ramadan”, he said.
According to him, the items to be distributed include Rice, Millet, Maize, Suger and Spageheti.
The Lawmaker also said he provided cash assistance to some selected groups and individuals.

He said the beneficiries of the gesture include wards and local government executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from Maru and Bungudu LGAs, youths and women groups, elders, traditional and religious leaders as well as other groups and individuals.
The lawmaker also donated N50,000 to each of the selected 10 youths for them to embark on small scale businesses.
The Federal lawmaker also donated Peugeot 406 car to his women campaign Coordinator, Hajiya Maimuna Samawa for her contributions towards the progress of the PDP in the state.
Alhaji Shehu Ahmad also donated N450,000 for the completion of Jumu’at Mosque in Tabanni community of Dankurmi ward of Maru LGA.
He called on the people of the area to use the holy months of ramadan to embark on special prayers for peace and stability in the state.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiries Hajiya Maimuna Samawa commended the Lawmaker for his commitments to assist members of his constituency.
She assured continue support and cooperation to the lawmaker and Gov. Bello Matawalle for the development of the state.
