Adamawa tasks stakeholders on implementation of new education policy
Adamawa government has tasked stakeholders on the successful implementation of the new education policy for quality education in the state.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that the policy was unveiled on Tuesday in collaboration with the Center for Advocacy Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) and Malala Foundation.
Dr Garba Pella, Commissioner, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, made the call at annual review dinner organised by Education in Emergencies Working Group (EiEWG) in Yola, Wednesday.
Pella reaffirmed government’s unwavering commitment to making education the foundation of collective progress and prosperity in the state.
He emphasised the importance of the newly launched state education policy and solicited support of all stakeholders.
“The policy launch serves as a testament to the administration’s resolve to leave no child behind, irrespective of their background, in the pursuit of academic excellence.
“This policy is not just a document; it is a reflection of our dedication to ensuring every child has access to quality education,” he stated.
According to him, the development of the education policy was a collaborative effort facilitated by the Education in Emergencies Working Group.
“We brought in partners to support the process, appointed a consultant to conduct a study, and engaged key stakeholders in the education sector through an expanded meeting to interrogate and validate the draft document,” he explained.
