Yobe State Governor Extends Eid-el-Fitr Greetings, Recommits to People-Centric Development
Damaturu, Yobe State, His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful of Yobe State on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a message released on the occasion, Governor Buni expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for a peaceful and fulfilling Ramadan. He urged the people to carry the spirit of the holy month – characterized by love, compassion, and sacrifice – beyond the month itself, fostering unity and inclusivity within the state.
“Let us continue to embody the values of Ramadan, supporting one another, extending a hand of fellowship, and ensuring no one is left behind,” he said.
Governor Buni reiterated the commitment of his administration to executing people-oriented policies and programs that improve the lives of the citizens. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and judicious resource management, building upon the successful record achieved in this regard.

“We encourage our people to participate actively in government programs, taking ownership and ensuring sustainability. We are investing in health, education, infrastructure, and other social development initiatives to enhance the well-being of our citizens,” stated the Governor.
He called on the people to support and cooperate with security agencies, urging them to report any suspicious activities to ensure the safety and security of the state. “We all have a role to play in maintaining peace and order,” Governor Buni emphasized.
The Governor concluded his message by praying for the continued peace and prosperity of Yobe State and Nigeria, wishing all a joyous and memorable Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
