Yobe State Governor Pledges Continued Support to Security Forces in Fight Against Insurgency
Damaturu, Yobe State – Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State today reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies operating within the state in their efforts to maintain peace and security.

The Governor made this pledge during a meeting with Brigadier General BMG Martins, the Acting Commander of Sector 2 (Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN Kai) in Northeast Nigeria.
Governor Buni’s assurance of support encompasses both governmental resources and the cooperation of the people of Yobe State.
He emphasized the state government’s dedication to fostering a lasting peace and security across the region, highlighting a collaborative approach with security forces as key to achieving this goal.

The Governor expressed confidence in Brigadier General Martins’ leadership and capabilities.
Brigadier General Martins, in his address, requested continued support from the people of Yobe State, reiterating the Joint Task Force’s commitment to establishing lasting peace and security throughout the state and the broader region, enabling citizens to pursue their livelihoods without fear.

Further solidifying the state’s commitment to peace building, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Affairs, presented an award to Governor Buni in recognition of his significant contributions to peace and development in Yobe State.
