MAN, OF GOD, HONOURED
In Honour of Pastor Paul Enenche
(A Man of Fire from the Hills of Benue)
From the earth where rivers speak and hills remember,
V
Once with hands that healed with earthly skill,
Now with Word and Wind, he does God’s will.
A son of middle belt, carved from covenant clay,
With unbelted echoes in his spirit’s way.
He left the stethoscope by Jordan’s stream,
To follow fire, to live God’s dream.
Not in palaces did his roots begin,
But in altars built with fasting and within.
He is the eagle from Orokam’s nest,
Who soared beyond, by Heaven blessed.
V
Upon the Rock he struck the flame,
And Dunamis rose in Yahweh’s name.
Not a tent, but a mountain strong and tall—
The Dome, where glory answers every call.
It stands like Mount Zion, unmoved, unshaken,
A tabernacle for the Spirit’s awaken.
Like the drums of the Idoma at festival dawn,
His voice shakes chains till fear is gone.
He sings—and heaven swings its gate:
“Lion of Judah”, tearing night from fate.
Like the talking drums that call the clan,
His praise resounds from Lagos to Sudan.
V
His feet have walked the valley’s floor,
But faith has made him eagle once more.
A shepherd with oil, a prophet with song,
Who teaches that weakness can still be strong.

O Lord of Hosts, preserve this flame,
This man who walks not for title or name.
Let his bones be strong like okpehe stick, brass,
His days full, like harvest in Eden’s grass.
Let angels watch him as he kneels to pray,
And health attend him every day.
Like the elders under the sacred tree,
Let his wisdom grow like rivers to the sea.
So we lift our voices like Idoma flutes,
And offer thanks in heavenly routes.
For Pastor Paul—Your servant, Your fire,
Whose soul burns still with holy desire.
May this birthday wish bring more rivers of blessings and hope to us who through your sermons continue to believe
