Nasarawa traditional ruler tasks residents on security consciousness
The District Head of Wakama Community, Nassarawa- Eggon LGA of Nasarawa State, Adams Makka- Nangba, has urged residents of the area to always be vigilant and security conscious as part of effort to address insecurity.
Makka-Nangba made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) on Friday in Wakama.
He urged communities to form vigilante groups in order to complement the police and other security agencies in tackling security challenges and promoting peace in the area.
He noted that peace was critical to human and societal development and urged all citizen to pursue peace at all cost.
”Peace is priceless, non negotiable and it is the necessary requirement for the development of any society,” he said.

The district dead urged the youths to embrace skills training programme organised by the government in Nassarawa Eggon LGA in order to become self reliant and to contribute their quota to the development of the society.
Makka-Nangba advised the people of the area to support and pray for the Gov. Abdullahi Sule-led administration as well as the new ‘Aren Akun,’ Dr James Angbazo.
He also solicited the peoples’ support for the Administrator of Akun Area Administrative Council, Dr Garba Adigizi, to succeed in his quest to develop the area.
