The Wikki Football Club lost 5 – 1 against the Katsina United in Katsina and 2-1 against Nasarawa football club at home.

Following this setback, the Bauchi State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) last weekend after the Wikki defeat expressed displeasure with the performance of the club in the ongoing Nigerian professional football league.

To this end, the Bauchi SWAN called on the state government to as a matter of urgency set up a committee to look into the problems facing the club with a view to finding a lasting solution.

The association also appealed to both the management and players of the Wikki football club to brace up and return the state team to its position of eminence.

Mr. Usman Abdallah wished the Wikki club success in its future endeavours.
