The Yobe state government has signed a contract with three leading companies to supply empowerment items designed for economic growth across Yobe state.
The contract signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment, and Employment Generation, underscoring the government’s commitment to foster resilience and prosperity among citizens.

Signing the contract on behalf of the state government commissioner of the ministry, Alhaji Aji Yerima Bularafa praised Governor Mai Mala Buni’s visionary leadership and stressed the need for transparency, accountability, and timely delivery of the items.
Alhaji Bularafa added that the ministry will closely monitor the process to ensure quality and efficiency.
The contract includes the supply of one hundred Bajaj motorcycles and eighty agro pickup tricycles to support entrepreneurs, farmers and youth cooperatives across the 17 local government areas of the state.
The second contract was awarded for the provision of one thousand seven hundred and eighty units of ten-litre customised cooking oil containers towards boosting women’s cooperatives and small businesses in food processing and distribution.
A contract was also signed for the provision of four thousand five hundred advanced charcoal stoves to promote cleaner energy and support local food vendors while reducing environmental impact.

The commissioner urged the contractors to comply with government regulations and meet delivery deadlines.
The commissioner commended the contractor’s partnership and reiterated the state’s dedication to sustainable empowerment under Governor Buni’s leadership.
He emphasised the administration’s focus on poverty reduction and economic development.
The contract was awarded to Marwez limited, Hakly Nigeria limited and Gnifarm and agricultural allied products
The contractors expressed gratitude to the state government for the opportunity given to them and pledged to deliver high-quality items on time, aligning with the state’s vision for progress.
