TETFund Centre of Excellence in Public Governance and Leadership Launched at University of Abuja

The University of Abuja has laid the foundation stone for the main  site of the Abuja Leadership Centre (ALC), a TETFund Centre of Excellence in Public Governance and Leadership.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Tuesday 3 February 2026, at the Jahi campus, was jointly performed by the  Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sonny Echono and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi. 

The vice-chancellor commended TETFund for its consistent support and expressed confidence that the Centre would serve as a national hub for leadership training, policy dialogue, and governance engagement.

 The executive secretary said  TETFund is  committed  to supporting the project, including the provision of furniture and equipment, noting that the Centre is strategically located to serve leaders across sectors in the country.

The ALC director,  Professor Phillip Dahida,  enjoined  the contractor to execute this project strictly in line with the approved specifications, timelines, and agreed standards.
