Yobe APC re-elected chairman hails Congresses as transparent.

By Yusuf Bukar Biriri.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe state has declared its ward and local government congresses a success, praising party members for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the exercise.

In a statement on Tuesday, the State Chairman Hon. Muhammad Gadaka, through his Press Secretary Sa’adatu Maina, emphasized that the process was free, fair, and devoid of imposition.

“No imposition, no unnecessary interference, no rancour just a free and fair exercise,” the statement quoted Gadaka as saying.

He described the congresses as a demonstration of party unity, maturity, and genuine consultation.

Gadaka credited the seamless conduct to the inclusive leadership style of Governor Mai Mala Buni, whose commitment to dialogue, he said, fostered harmony among stakeholders.

Following the exercise, a national supervisory team led by Ambassador Babagana Ajimi submitted reports on the 178 ward and 17 local government congresses to the state secretariat.Ajimi commended members for their orderly conduct.

Looking forward, Gadaka expressed optimism for a similarly peaceful outcome at the party’s National Convention scheduled for March 2027.
