First Lady Sen. Oluremi supportes 2,000 vulnerable women  in Yobe.

The office of the first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu through the renewed hope initiative has supported 2000 vulnerable women across 17 LGAs of Yobe  state.

 Speaking while launching the distribution of the food items the wife of the Yobe state governor, Hajiya Hafsat Kollere Buni, who is also the state coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative said the distribution of the food items was meant to restore a better life for vulnerable families.

 Represented by the commissioner  Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Dr Mairo Ahmed Amshi, the state coordinator said the gesture is part of efforts to ameliorate the challenges faced by womenfolk across Yobe state.

 The wife of the governor emphasised that women and children are the most affected people by the impact of insurgents, hence the need for support to improve their living standards.

 According to her, the renewed hope initiative aligned with Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration towards making life better for vulnerable people, especially women.

 In her remarks, the commissioner of the Ministry of Women Affairs Hajiya Ya’jalo Badama said the distribution of the food items is a clear demonstration of the Buni-led administration towards improving the welfare of women, girls and less privileged families in the state.

 The commissioner highlighted that the gesture would go a long way in providing relief and strengthening the livelihoods of thousands of households.

Hajiya Ya’jalo Badama thanked the first lady senator, Oluremi Tinubu and the wife of the Yobe state governor, Hajiya Hafsat Kollere Buni, for uplifting the living standards of women groups in Yobe state.

 Some beneficiaries who spoke to journalists expressed gratitude to the first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the wife of Yobe state governor Hajiya Hafsat Kollere Buni for the gesture.

 They assured to make good use of the items given to them to improve their livelihoods.
