Yobe Governor Visits El-Rufai to Commiserate Over Mother’s Death
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State paid a condolence visit to the residence of former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, today following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
The Governor, who arrived in the company of his aides, was received on behalf of the bereaved family by the former Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
During the visit, Governor Buni expressed his deep sympathies to Malam Nasir El-Rufai, describing the loss of a mother as a profound void that is difficult to fill.
He offered prayers for the soul of the deceased, asking for her eternal repose and for God to grant the El-Rufai family the strength to navigate the difficult period.

“We stand with our brother and his family during this time of grief. May the Almighty grant Hajiya Umma Aljannah Firdaus,” the Governor stated.
The visit highlights the camaraderie among Northern political leaders, as several dignitaries continue to troop to the El-Rufai residence to pay their last respects to the matriarch.
The official statement confirming the visit was released by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Yobe State Governor.
