Emir’s Cup draw holds in Gombe as organisers rally stakeholders
The Organising Committee of the Gombe Emir’s Cup Competition has invited stakeholders and football enthusiasts to the tournament’s draw ceremony, holds in Gombe State.
The committee, in a statement on Wednesday, said the event promotes unity, youth engagement, sportsmanship, peaceful coexistence and talent development across emirates and traditional councils in the state.
“The Emir’s Cup has continued to strengthen community ties and provide opportunities for young football talents to thrive,” the committee said.

It added that the draws ceremony would hold on May 13, at the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Gombe State University, by 10 a.m.
The committee advised stakeholders, participating teams and invited guests to arrive early and be seated before commencement of proceedings.
According to the committee, the competition remains a unifying football tournament fostering harmony and healthy rivalry among communities in Gombe State.
“We are committed to delivering a transparent and successful tournament that will further encourage grassroots football development,” the committee stated.
It invited dignitaries, supporters, media practitioners and members of the public to witness the ceremony and support the competition.
“Your presence and support will contribute immensely to the success of this year’s Emir’s Cup competition,” the committee added.
