The emir of Talata Mafara commended SCI and GAC

The emir of Talata Mafara, Alhaji  Bello Muhammad Barmo commended SCI and GAC for sponsoring and implementation of REACH projects in his domain.

Muhammad Barmo represented by the Galadima of Mafara Alhaji said having children’s parliament in Talata Mafara is a great opportunity for “our children to have brighter future”.

“I want to call on the members of the parliament to be serious in all what you you are going to be trained in the parliament”,the Emir of Talata-Mafara explained. 

The Acting  Sole administrator of Talata-Mafara LGC, Alhaji Namadi Mainasara said the initiating the parliaments is in line with the growing need to address issues affecting children ranging from health, education, child poverty and reintegration of children affected by conflict into the society.

He said “My door is always open for development partners considering the great achievements recorded in promoting future of our children through the SCI partnership”. Mainasara said,

In his remark, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Ahmad Muhammad Asha described initiating the parliaments in his emirate as a welcome development. 

Muhammad Asha represented by the Senior District Head of Kaura Namoda emirate and Sarkin Sudan if Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Nasiru Garba urged members of the parliaments to utilise the opportunity given to them.

“You should  know that, you have a big responsibility before you aimed at making you stronger in future. 

“You should focus on the assignments before you, this is a training ground for you, you have alot of activities to conduct under this parliament”, th emir charges  members of the parliament.

The Acting Sole administrator of Kaura-Namoda LGC, Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi Gusau commended SCI for their relentless effort and support in ensuring that the state has a vibrant children’s parliaments.

He assured support and commitments of his council to sustain the parliament and many programmes and activities of the REACH project especially the children’s parliament. 

Earlier, the Advocacy Coordinator of the SCI in charge of REACH project, Zainab Usman commended Talata-Mafara and Talata-Mafara Councils for their support to various GAC funded projects implemented in the two LGAs.

“Our appreciation also goes to Talata-Mafara and Kaura-Namoda emirates councils and other stakeholders for their support to the activities of REACH projects.

“We are calling  on the leadership of the two LGAs to initiate a strong plan to ensure the sustainanabity of the parliaments”, She said.

Zainab Usman who called on members of the parliament to utilise the opportunity given to them also charged stakeholders in the two LGAs to put hands together in order to support the children to have brighter future. ()
