Ace poet Dayana Modeme releases hit album ‘Stories on the Line’

Award-winning Nigerian spoken-word poet Dayana Modeme has released her highly anticipated album, ‘Stories on the Line’.

Modeme announced the release in an Instagram post, saying the album explores the intersection of Nigerian oral storytelling tradition, nightlife and contemporary spoken word.

“And now, I leave this album with you. It is inviting you to see what happens when oral storytelling tradition, Nigerian nightlife and contemporary spoken word meet on one body of work,” she wrote.

According to her, the album is available on all streaming platforms.

Modeme also expressed appreciation to listeners for supporting the project, while acknowledging her mother for encouraging her.

The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that Stories on the Line combines storytelling and spoken-word poetry in a contemporary musical project.
