KSCPC, Kano flavour dealers partner to sanitise markets of fake products
The Kano State Flavour Dealers’ Association in collaboration with Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC)
has vowed to prevent the sale of adulterated, expired, and unregistered flavour products in markets.
The Chairman of the association, Malam Abubakar Isah, made this known when he led members on a visit to the council on Monday in Kano.
Isah said: “The association will collaborate with the council to ensure that only quality flavour products are sold in markets across the state.”
He also assured the council that the association would sensitise its members on the dangers associated with the sale of adulterated, expired, and unregistered flavour products.

On his part, the Executive Secretary of KSCPC, Dr. Ibrahim Garba-Muhammad, said the council would continue to protect consumers from products that could endanger their health and safety.
He reiterated the readiness of the council to intensify market surveillance and inspections to identify and remove adulterated products from the market.
Garba-Muhammad urged the association’s leadership to educate its members on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
The ES said effective collaboration between the council and relevant stakeholders would contribute significantly to the enforcement of consumer protection laws and regulations in the state.
