The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to advancing personnel welfare and ensuring quality education for the children of agency officers.

General Marwa made the pledge during a working visit to the newly established pioneer NDLEA Command School, located at the agency’s barracks in Yola, Adamawa State. Accompanied by the Zone 2 Commander, ACGN Ishaku Yusuf Kwajafa, and other senior officers, the NDLEA boss toured the school facilities to inspect progress and directly engage with students, teachers, and members of the barracks community.
Addressing the pupils and students, Marwa emphasized the critical role of strong moral values and diligence in achieving success. He urged them to embrace discipline, maintain strict punctuality, and dedicate themselves to academic excellence. Reminding the youth to revere God, obey their parents and teachers, he placed special emphasis on drug prevention, telling the students that staying away from illicit drugs is a non-negotiable priority for a bright future.
The NDLEA Chief assured stakeholders that the pioneer institution will receive continuous backing to ensure it develops into one of the premier educational establishments in the country, bringing accessible, high-quality learning directly to the doorsteps of agency families.

During the tour, General Marwa also held a warm interactive session with members of the NDLEA Officers’ Wives Association and other barracks residents. The women lauded the leadership strides and rapid transformation of the agency under his tenure, expressing deep gratitude for the establishment of the Command School, which they described as a monumental investment in their children’s future.
