Give Regina breathing space, Ned Nwoko appeals to fans
Sen. Ned Nwoko has appealed to the public, particularly fans and friends of his embattled wife and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, to give her space to recover.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that Nwoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his verified Instagram account, warning that those spreading false reports about her could face legal action.
He appealed to the actress’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to give her breathing space.
The Senator expressed concern that misleading reports about Daniels’ health and personal circumstances were adding to her difficulties, urging the public to support her recovery rather than subject her to further criticism.
He said the appeal was also necessary for the sake of their children, who deserved to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to recover.
“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space.
“I make this appeal not just for her sake, but also for the sake of the kids, who are very well cared for and deserve to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to get better,” he said.
According to the lawmaker, Daniels has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and she needs love, support and the opportunity to recover.
Nwoko also referenced a video the actress shared on her birthday, saying it offered a glimpse into some of the health challenges she had been dealing with.
According to him, Daniels situation should not be an opportunity for people to judge or vilify her.
He expressed particular concern over reports falsely announcing the actress’s death and other claims about her health and personal circumstances.
“Regardless of the difficulties we have faced, her well-being has always mattered to me. It is, in fact, the very concern that brought much of our private situation into the public domain.

“Regina sees many of these posts, and they are deeply distressing. They do nothing to support her recovery, rather, they add to the burden she is already carrying,” he said.
Nwoko added that Daniels deserved the opportunity to recover without being subjected to fabricated reports and renewed public scrutiny.
“Those hiding behind social media accounts to invent stories, mislead the public and exploit her situation for clicks and engagement should stop immediately,” he said.
He also warned bloggers and social media users against deliberately publishing false information about Daniels, particularly claims concerning her death, health and personal life.
“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels.
“There is a limit to what should be tolerated, and that limit has been reached. Regina deserves the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories every day,” he said.
VMT NEWS reports that the recent online trolling against Daniels started when she turned 25 and shared a video on social media.
In the footage, the actress appeared in a wheelchair and disclosed that she had struggled with mobility and severe pain for several months.
The mother of two said the condition began as a minor health problem but worsened, sometimes leaving her unable to walk.
Daniels, however, said she had experienced significant improvement in her recovery.
