MATAWALLE’S DEFECTION TO APC IS FOR PUBLIC INTEREST, SAYS PROF. JABAKA

The Immediate past Chairman of Zamfara State Zakkat and Endowment Board, Prof. Kabiru Jabaka has described the defection of Gov Bello Matawalle from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) as a welcome development.

Jabaka who stated this while speaking to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday said the governor’s defection to APC is inline with the needs of the state.

Matawalle has on Tuesday defected from APC to the PDP including the federal and state lawmakers from the state.

“Matawalle’s defection is timely because there are several calls to him to join APC from different angles within and outside the state.

“On behalf of my self and my entire supporters across the state, we are solidly behind Matawalle’s defection.

“Our loyalty to Matawalle has no much concern about political platforms, therefore any political party that Matawalle belong to we are behind him”, Jabaka said.

“I am calling on the people of the state irrespective of differences to support Matawalle to promote peace and stability in the state.

“I am satisfied with the leadership style of Matawalle, since his assumption as a Gov of Zamfara two years ago, he initiated various policies and programmes for the development of the teeming population of the state.

During “my steawardship as a Chairman of the state Zakkat and Endowment Board, the governor gave me all the necessary support to execute various projects and programmes which had resulted positive impact to socio economic development of the state”

“We supported various groups of vulnerable and less privileged households across the state”, Jabaka explained.
