Police rescue 100 kidnaped victims in Zamfara
The Zamfara State Police command in collaboration with State Ministry for Security and Home Affairs have successfully secured the unconditional release of one hundred kidnaped victims who were abducted from Kabaro forest in Maru Local Government Area.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Muhammad Shehu.
The statement said, “It could be recalled that, on the 8th June, 2021 some recalcitrant bandits stormed Manawa village of Mutunji District of Dansadau emirarte of Maru LGA and abducted 100 villagers including nursing mothers, males and children”.

“The released victims who were in custody of their abductors
42 days ago have been released without giving any financial or material gain and they will be medically checked and debriefed before reunited with their respective families.
“The state commissioner of police, Mr Hussaini Rabiu warned the recalcitrants bandits to renounce criminalities and embrace peace or face the full wrath of the law”, the statement said.
The CP assured sustainance of kinetic and non kinetic approach successfully end the menace.
“The command uses this medium to call on the good people of the state to support the police and other security agencies with credible information about the hideout, movements and other activities of criminal elements”, he added.
