Gunmen kidnap nursing mother, 7 month old baby boy in Zamfara
The Zamfara police command has on Wednesday confirmed attack on a house of the former Councilor of Tudun Wada Ward of Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State Babangida Ibrahim and abduction of his wife and a 7 month old baby boy in Damba Area of Gusau metropolis.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Shehu who confirmed the incident to newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday said the unknown gunmen attacked the former Councilors’ house in Damba area around 12:30 of today, Wednesday and kidnaped his wife and her 7 month old baby boy.

According to him the ex-councillor was left with gunshot and he is currently taking treatment at hospital in Gusau.
“Receiving the information on the attack, the command has been on the trail to ensure the rescue of the kidnapped victims.
“The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Hussaini Rabi’u has already directed thorough investigation on the matter to ensure the arrest of the perpetrators and there prosecution to court”, Shehu said.
