Adamawa gov’t eases Lamurde curfew, warns troublemakers
The Adamawa government has eased the curfew in Lamurde Local Government Area, permitting movement from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with immediate effect.
The development is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou.
Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri cautioned residents against breaching the law, stressing that the relaxation should not be abused.
“This gesture should not be taken lightly. Those behind the violence have been identified and will face consequences.
“The era of leniency is over; anyone breaking the law will be arrested and prosecuted,” the governor warned.
