AIG zone 3 urges officers to uphold discipline, professionalism
AIG Akinwale Adeniran in-charge of zone 3 Police Command, Yola, has tasked police personnel on discipline and professionalism in their dealings with the public towards ensuring peace and security.
Adeniran made the call on Monday in Yola during an official visit to the Adamawa Police Command headquarters.
He said the objective of the visit is to strengthen the cordial relationship between the police and the public, particularly the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), which continues to serve as a vital bridge between the force and the people.
According to him, such relationships deepen collaboration between the police and public in addressing crimes such as farmer-herder clashes, kidnapping, drug abuse, and other emerging security challenges.
He also raised concerns over the misuse of PCRC identity cards by a few members and warned against actions that would affect the integrity of the PCRC in the state.

He said the command is doing everything possible with the support of the state government to tackle the challenges.
“Today I can say that the good people of Adamawa State sleep with their two eyes closed.
“These achievements could not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our officers and men, stakeholders, community leaders, and the State Government in particular under the able stewardship of Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri”, he said.
He said Fintiri’s administration has given serious priority to security and safety for the citizens
