Amotekun Confirms Abduction Of Two Female Children In Osun

The Osun State Command of the Amotekun Corps has confirmed the abduction of two female children in the Ilesa Local Government Area of the state.

The Corps Commander, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), while confirming the abduction reassured the public that efforts are underway to locate the children and apprehend their kidnappers.

“We are aware of the situation, and we are working hard to locate the woman. By God’s grace, we will find her and the children,” Omoyele stated.

The unidentified kidnapper was said to have posed as an intending tenant in the Igando area of Ilesa.

The woman, described as fair-complexioned, between the ages of 17 and 20, reportedly abducted the two children, aged four and two, after pretending to clean her one-room apartment in a shared compound.

Sources revealed that the woman had paid for half a year’s rent to one of the existing tenants, with the landlord approving the arrangement without issuing a receipt or conducting a background check on the tenant.

On the day of the incident, the woman played with the children before deceiving neighbours, claiming she was taking them to buy something.

The mothers of the children have expressed their distress over the abduction, while the case has been reported to the Osun State Police Command, which is now assisting Amotekun in the search.

Community members remain hopeful for the children’s safe return as the authorities continue their investigation.
