APC Berates Former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Over Neglect Of LGA

The Contact Mobilization and Enlightenment Forum for Governor Ahmed Aliyu in Tambuwal local government Thursday held meeting in the State metropolis and berated former governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for not doing much for his people when he was the governor.
Addressing the gathering on the aim of the meeting,
vice chairman of the forum, Faruk Dayyabu said is to amongst others harness the vast human resources embeded in the lives of the youths and people of Tambuwal LGA
He said it is to also assist the youths, women and children to understand that politics is not violent, not bitterness and should not be used as a means of dividing their brotherly love.
Dayyabu further assured that the meeting was to enlighten the youths of Sokoto on why respect for leaders including political office holders is very important as well as to appreciate the governor Ahmed Aliyu led administration for the deep love and respect shown to the people of Tambuwal LGA.
Speaking on his part, the Sokoto State APC chairman, Sadiq Isa Achida said they have confidence in the capacity of governor Ahmed Aliyu, considering his excellent performance thus far.
According to Sadiq Achida, former governor now Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal negleted his home town as no visible project was carried out in his home within the 8 years of his reign as governor.
Wondering what political direction Tambuwal is taking, the State APC chairman said he learnt that the former governor is getting involved in the formation of another political movement to challange President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027 and he can’t but laugh aloud.
According to Achida,
he sees the political coalition that is made up of “the same old politicians moving from one party to another as simply a failed excercise involving same old folks, which he discribed as “old wine in a new bottle.”

“They claim to be a new movement, but the people are not new to us. They are the same politicians who failed our state and country in the past,” Achida noted.
In contrast, however, the APC State chairman, Achida affirmed that the current governor, Ahmed Aliyu though not from Tambuwal but has done much more in prioritising grassroot development in Tambuwal local government and every part of the state than his predecessor, Tambuwal.
