APC candidates laud Malami for free purchase of 267 LG election expression of interest forms

A total of 267 All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidates in the Feb. 5th Kebbi Local Government Council’s Election have lauded the Attorney- General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, for free purchase of their expression of interest forms in the state.


The APC flag bearers led by Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, the state Chairman of the APC, made the commendation when they paid Malami  a thank- you visit in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
In his remark, Kana-Zuru, said Malami deserves a collective appreciation hence they had decided to visit him to express their appreciation over his gesture.


“Malami has been an invaluable contributor to our party, and being some one who took the burden of shouldering the responsibility of purchasing the expression of interest forms for the 21 local government chairmanship candidates, their vice chairmen and 225 councilors under the platform of the party, he really deserve our commendations and thanks,” he said.


Kana-Zuru expressed optimism and confidence that all the candidates of the party would emerge victorious, considering the purposeful leadership being exhibited by Gov. Atiku Bagudu.

“This is addition to the humanitarian services of Malami that cover every nooks and crannies of the state which are more than enough to market the APC candidates to the electorate in the state,” the chairman said.
Earlier, the Chairman APC Board of Trustees in the state, Alhaji Sani Hukuma- Zauro, described the gesture as first of its kind in the history of the state’s politics.


He said,” The APC faithfuls in state are ever ready to reciprocate the kind gestures extended to the party by supporting Malami in all his future endeavors.
“Plans are under way to organize a befitting reception in honor of the minister as part of appreciation to the great work he is doing in building the party.”


Also speaking, Alhaji Faruku Musa-Yaro, the Personal Assistant to Gov. Bagudu, assured the minister of  their unwavering support.
“It’s only Almighty Allah that will reward you for nursing and nurturing the party and giving it all the support towards  the continued success of the APC led -government in the state.


“The APC faithfuls in the country are looking forward to the day that they will pay back the kind gestures Malami have been given to them in their own way,” Musa-Yaro said.


Speaking on behalf of the APC candidates,Alhaji Abubakar Fada, from  Birnin-Kebbi Local Government area  thanked the minister and his associates for their continued contributions to the party.


He also assured him that they would be good ambassadors of the party if given the mandate.
Malami, In his response, charged  the APC candidates to put the fear of God in discharging their duties when elected.


“As public officers you should also avoid been ungrateful as that attracts severe punishment in this world and in the hereafter,” he urged.


The minister assured the party candidates and their supporters that his doors would remain open for moral support and assistance whenever the need arose.
