APC condemns attack on members,
burning down of youths office in Zamfara
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned attack on its members and burning down of its youths office at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat at GRA area in Gusau Zamfara State.
The State Chaiman APC Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Lawal Liman made the condemnation when he visited some of the attacked APC members who were receiving treatment at the Farida Hospital, Gusau on Wednesday.
The VMTNews reports that hoodlums suspected to be PDP supporters have yesterday, attacked and burned down youths APC office attached to NUJ Secretariat Gusau which led destruction of properties worth millions of naira belonging to many private shops owners at the NUJ Press Center.

Liman alleged that the attack was launched by members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“This is very unfortunate and attempt by troublemakers to cause instability in the state”, Liman said.
He called on PDP leaders in the state to call its members to order and avoid any act the may lead to political crisis in the state.
“We are calling on PDP-led government in the state to put stop to any act that may lead to political crisis in the state.
“This is not the time of politics, when the politics commence they will know that the APC is strong in Zamfara.
“The APC as a strongest political party in the state have supporters morethan any party but we always cautions our members to order in order to maintain peace and stability in the state”, he explained.
He cautioned APC members in the state to remain calm and avoid retaliation and always be law abiding”, Liman added.
He also called on security agencies to investigate the attack and arrest the papetrators.
The party Chairman also visited the the scene of the incident and sympathised with shop owners at the NUJ press center who fell the victims of the attack.
Reacting to the allegation, the state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Faruku Shatiman-Rijiya debunked the allegations.
Shatiman-Rijiya said the APC has no evidence to suspect PDP members over the attack.
“Attacks and burning down offices of other political parties is no the havid of PDP members in the state.
“The PDP have been opposition political parties in the state over the years and we have no record of attacking other political parties offices”, he explained
He called APC leadership in the state to avoid unnecessary allegations that may cause trouble between supporters of the political parties.
