APC Conflict Resolution, Strategy and Mobilisation Committee Strategies On Reconciliation Of Conflicting Interests

The APC Conflict Resolution, Strategy and Mobilisation Committee under the Chairmanship of Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni CON COMN, has identified areas in need of quick reconciliation and resolution of differences to move the party forward.

In a statement made available to newsmen by the Director General press and media affairs to governor Alhaji Mamman Muhammad Said the committee, which met at the Yobe state Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, said the need to resolve internal conflicts and chart a new course for cohesion, unity, and strength for the party ahead of the forthcoming national convention and other engagements remained necessary as political engagements inch closer.

“This is to give all stakeholders and party members a sense of belonging as the country prepares for the next round of electioneering”, the committee emphasised.

It also noted the importance of sealing all seeming differences to approach its programmes and the national elections with a united front.

The issue of unity, cohesion and remains paramount on the committee’s agenda, and has

identified states as well as political actors whose differences pose threats to the party for a quick resolution.

The committee has Governor Buni as chairman with Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta) and Uba Sani (Kaduna) as members.

Other members include Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers) Adegboyega Oyetola Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Bello Matawalle Minister of State for Defence, Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Senator Adamu Aliero, and Senior Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs and other Matters, Ibrahim Masari and Muiz Banire SAN as secretary.
