APC swears in party Chairmen in Yobe

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe on Thursday sworn in 10 newly elected local government party Chairmen for Zones B and C.

The state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, said political parties remained the only viable platform for securing elective positions in a democracy.

Gadaka spoke at the swearing-in of Zone B Chairmen in Jakusko Local Government Area after the inauguration of Zone C.

He underscored the importance of the party leadership at all levels, describing ward and local government executives as pillars of democratically elected governments.

According to him, party officials are closest to the grassroots and canvass votes for candidates from councillorship to presidential elections.

He urged party members to respect and support leaders from ward levels upward in order to strengthen internal cohesion and electoral success.

Gadaka advised the newly sworn-in chairmen to carry all stakeholders along in the interest of the party’s progress and unity.

He called on residents of the state to sustain support for Gov. Mai Mala Buni and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Zone C chairmen sworn in were Alhaji Idi Maikaji (Bade); Adamu Nalaka (Machina); AbdulKadir Juma (Nguru);  Alhaji Ibrahim Babangida (Jakusko), Uba Jajimaji (Karasuwa) and Mohammed Ali (Yusufari).

Those elected for Zone B were Abdullahi Ngalda (Fika); Yusuf Sinko (Fune), Adamu Lale (Nangere) and Alhaji Sani Dunbulwa (Potiskum).

Gadaka said the inauguration of Zone A chairmen would be conducted at a later date.
