Bauchi Govt. pledges robust industrial harmony with workers
The Bauchi state government says it would continue to ensure and sustain amicable relationship with civil servants for a beneficial and lasting industrial harmony.
Malam Bala Ibrahim, the Senior Special Assistant on Labour Relations to Gov. Bala Mohammed, made this known while reacting to the election of new NUT chairmen in the 20 LGAs of the state, on Wednesday.
He said the administration of Gov Bala Mohammed was fully committed and determined to promote the welfare of civil servants, especially their statutory entitlements.

Ibrahim called on the elected union chairmen to work assiduously towards achieving the objectives of the present administration in the state, especially the promotion of basic education.
He said the government had in the past two years constructed no fewer than 650 schools and renovated over 1,000 others, providing them with furniture for a conducive teaching and learning environment.
Ibrahim explained that the ongoing workers’ verification embarked by the state government was not meant to witch hunt anybody, but to cleanse the payroll system by minimizing sharp practices in sector.
