A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail in the amount of N100m to former Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, his daughter, and two others who are being tried for an alleged fraud amounting to N2.7bn.

The court specified that the defendants must each provide two sureties with verified landed properties in Abuja, who are also required to be upstanding citizens.

These sureties must verify their financial means through a sworn affidavit. Additionally, the court has prohibited the defendants from traveling abroad without prior approval.

Justice Oriji stated that failure to meet the bail conditions will result in the defendants being remanded in prison custody.

The court further mandated that the sureties possess landed properties within the FCT with legitimate titles. The trial dates have been set for the 10th, 11th, and 20th of June.
