Eid-El-Fitr: Adamawa governor urges peace, love
Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has urged residents to continue living in peace and love while praying for the progress of both the state and the nation.
Fintiri made this appeal in his Sallah message, issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, in Yola on Saturday.
The governor congratulated Muslims on completing the Ramadan fast, saying, “Ramadan reflects Allah’s commandment to draw closer to Him and embrace self-denial and moderation.”
Fintiri emphasised that Ramadan offers an opportunity for Muslims to deepen their relationship with Allah while promoting sacrifice, charity, and love.

“Our government remains committed to fostering peaceful coexistence. I urge Muslims to uphold these values beyond Ramadan to build a prosperous and peaceful Adamawa,” he said.
The governor also encouraged Muslims to practise the lessons of Ramadan by showing love and sharing with the less privileged, as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed.
“When the people embrace and practise teachings from holy books, peace and tranquillity prevail. Ramadan is a time to seek Allah’s face and relate in holiness and love,” he said.
Fintiri prayed that Allah would bless the faithful, reward their devotion, and protect all from harm.
