Eid-el-Fitr: Wamakko donates clothing materials, cash , to 8,000 PWDs

No fewer than 8000 people living with disabilities and other indigents across sokoto benefited from sallah gifts from senator representing Sokoto North Senatoral district , Senator Aliyu Wamakko

According to the statement by the senior special assistant to the senator on media and publicity Bashir Rabe Mani said the items includes clothing materials and money for sewing.

On the first day of the distribution ceremony , Saturday , May 8, 2021, no fewer than three thousand women of all ages and statuses were each given a wrapper and money for sewing .

On the second day of the all-important gesture , Sunday , May 9,2021, over five thousand males also of all ages and statuses were each given guinea brocade ( shadda), as well as money for sewing.

Wamakko, who was physically involved in the distribution of the largesse , was assisted by the Member , representing Wamakko and Kware Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ahmed Abdullahi Kalambaina, a Director -General , Alhaji Ibrahim J. J. and his eldest son, Mahdi , among other personal Aides .

It could however be recalled that, this large scale distribution ceremony was scaled down in 2020 , sequel to the raging global Coronavirus Disease Pandemic ( COVID-19).

The immeasurable gesture was still however unceremoniously extended to the ever expectant and elated beneficiaries, in line with the COVID-19 extant guidelines and protocols .

The perennial gesture of the former Governor of Sokoto State was aimed at further alleviating the suffering of the beneficiaries,.

The invaluable gesture cannot also come at a better time than when the Muslims were gearing up for the Ei-el- Fitr celebrations , to mark the end of the Ramdan fast .

A cross section of the beneficiaries lauded Senator Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, for the unparalleled gesture .

While urging other wealthy individuals to emulate him, they pledged to use the items judiciously.
