EID-EL-FITRI: KOGUNA DONATES CASH AS SALLAH GIFT TO APC MEMBERS IN ZAMFARA
The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the 2019 general elections in Zamfara state, Alhaji Mukhtar Shehu Koguna has donated the sum of N25 million to the APC members in the state as a sallah gift.
The State Chairman APC Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Lawal M Liman disclosed this to newsmen in Gusau on Tuesday.
Liman said that the donation was given through the party leadership in the state.
“We received N25 million donated to the party as Sallah gift to the party members in the state from Alhaji Mukhtar Koguna.

“The amount would be shared to state, local governments, wards executives and elders of the party as well as other party members.”, he said.
He thanked Koguna for the gesture and described it as a timely and welcome development.
The party chairman also commended the former governor and APC leader in the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari and other party stakeholders who provided food items, clothes to the party supporters and various categories of the needy in the state.
“We want again express our appreciation to the former governor for organising ramadan breakfast for party stakeholders and members in the state”, he added.
Liman said that the gesture had enhanced the party’s strength in the state.
He called on muslims to use sallah period and pray for peace, stability in the state and country in general.
Alhaji Mukhtar Shehu Koguna won governorship election at the 2019 general election under the platform of the APC but lost to the Supreme Court judgement.
