Eid-el-kabir: Malami urges Muslims to pray for divine intervention on security , economic challenges
The Attorney- General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has urged Muslims Muslim Ummah to use the Eid-el-kabir occasion to pray for the divine intervention on security and economy challenges bedeviling the country.
Malami urged the Muslims shortly after concluding two Raka’at prayer at Eid ground in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.

He reminded the Muslims to wholeheartedly be obedient to the instructions and commandments of the Almighty Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him.
“As we mark this auspicious occasion we should reflect on the inherent lessons of patience, sacrifice and total submission to the will of Allah demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim when he was commanded by Allah to slaughter his only Son (Ismail), by rededicating our selves to greater adherence to the Almighty’s Commandments and showing the true spirit of Islam in all our undertakings.

“As we celebrate the Eidul Adha, we must reflect back on all the happenings in our dear country so that we can use the period pray for divine intervention to the prevailing security and economic challenges bedeviling the country which the present Administration of President Muhammad Buhari is committed to address,” Malami said.
He also appealed to Muslims currently in the Saudi Arabia performing this year’s pilgrimage to equally supplicate for the redemption.
” I want to re-assure you that the Buhari led administration will continue to do everything possible to secure the country.
“I pray that God will answer our prayers for a lasting peace in Kebbi state and the nation as a whole as well as peaceful political transition early next year,” the minister said.
