Ex-House of Representatives member kidnapped

A former member of House of Representatives, Lafia/Obi federal constituency, Hon. Dr. Joseph Haruna Kigbu, has been kidnapped on his way to Jos, Plateau state capital.

The incident took place between Nunku, Akwanga local government, Nasarawa state and Gwantu, Sanga local government, Kaduna state on Monday.

Eye witness revealed that gun shot were fired sporadically by the kidnappers leaving the Police orderly dead.

“The kidnappers in a gun battle shot the Police escort attached to Joseph Kigbu while trying to resist the kidnappers,” the eye witness said.

Police authorities were yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
