FRSC warns Nigerians against recruitment scams

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned the public to be cautious of fraudulent recruitment schemes being carried out by scammers, some of whom impersonate FRSC personnel.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), Olusegun Ogungbemide.

Ogungbemide expressed concern over the increasing activities of fraudsters who deceived and extorted unsuspecting Nigerians with false promises of job offers within the Corps.

He revealed that those scammers even go as far as issuing fake call-up letters to FRSC training schools and the FRSC Academy in a bid to mislead job seekers and collect money from them.

The CPEO emphasised that FRSC’s recruitment process was strictly transparent, merit-based, and officially communicated only through national newspapers, TV stations, and the Corps’ verified platforms.

“At no point has the Corps authorised any personnel or representative to request money or any form of gratification from applicants for employment,” he stated.

Ogungbemide, therefore, urged Nigerians to disregard any suspicious recruitment offers and report such activities to the nearest FRSC Command, relevant law enforcement agencies, or through official FRSC channels.

He reiterated the Corps’ commitment to integrity, fairness, and transparency in all its recruitment processes.

The public was further advised to remain vigilant and confirm all recruitment-related information via official FRSC sources.

These include the Corps’ website at www.frsc.gov.ng
