Gbajabiamila’s Chief of Staff donates 1000 Motorcycles, Tricycles to APC members in Zamfara.

The Chief of Staff to the Speaker House of Representatives and Former Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji has donated 1000 Motorcycles and Tricycles to members of the All Progressives  Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.

Speaking during the distribution of the items to the beneficiaries in Gusau, Rikiji said the gesture is one of his empowerment strategy. 

Rikiji represented by the Deputy State Chairman APC Caretaker Committee,  Alhaji Musa Mallaha noted that the gesture is inline with the federal government’s policy under President Muhammad Buhari to eradicate poverty, unemployment and other social security challenges in the society. 

“You know, I prepare to empower people than giving them cash, l prepare to empower a person for him to be self-reliant and assist some people below his level.

“Today, I brought 500 Motorcycles and 500 Tricycles to assist the unemployed youths, APC supporters, and poor households in the state. The gesture is aimed at empowering the beneficiaries to become self reliants. 

“I hope you are going to utilise this assistance given to you effectively so as to benefit you in boosting your small and medium scale businesses”, Rikiji said. 

He said the arrangement is ongoing to also provide empowerment support to women small and medium scale traders. 

“I am also compiling the list of 40 APC stakeholders and other vulnerable groups who would be supported with car each”, he explained. 

Rikiji who appreciate APC stakeholders in the state over the recent reconcilliation by the warring factions, saying that “it would boost the party’s strength in the state”.

He called on the APC members in the state to come out en mass and participate actively in the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Namadi Zakari thanked Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji for the gesture. 

“We appreciate Rikiji for this kind gesture, we will ensure judicious utilisation of the motorcycles and tricycles, we are giving the assurance of continued support to the APC”, Zakari said.
