Gov Buni appoint new acting Head of service, sworn-in permanent secretaries others

Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON has approved the appointment of Abdullahi Musa Shehu as acting state head of service and, similarly, sworn in new Grand Khadi of the state, Abba Alhaji Mammadi, as well as 5 new Special Advisers.

Those appointed as special advisers are Mohammed Bazam Maidoki, Mohammed Ibrahim Jalo, Hajiya Saratu Sabo, Saleh Budde Sherrif, and Kulloma Umara Muhammed.
Others are Alh. Dauda Yahaya as Permanent Member of the Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and thirteen 13 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, namely Abdu Shuaibu, Mai Dala Baleri Bularafa, Salamatu Yahaya Nangere, Bamai Zanna, Engr. Mai Modu Goniri; Bako Modu Kagu (Dejibe), Musa Garba, Abubakar Usman Kolere; Ibrahim Ali; Mohammed Annur; Abbas Isah Bizi; Mohammed Kalli and Dr Yusuf Idriss Madaki.
Buni was fully convinced and indeed satisfied with the qualifications of the new appointees for their new offices, making them valuable assets and agents of quality service delivery to the good people of Yobe state in line with the vision and mission of this administration.
Abba Alhaji Mamadi, a distinguished Jurist with 29 years of experience had served in various capacities meritoriously in the State Judicial Service, until his appointment as the Grand Khadi.
The government equally appointed the new Special Advisers to add value to governance and to strengthen the bond between the government and the people. They are seasoned politicians with excellent relationships with the electorates at the grassroots.

Alhaji Dauda Yahaya, a seasoned technocrat and former Head of Service of the state, needs no introduction. He has all the qualities required of his new office. The administration has remained consistent in payment of counterpart funds to the Universal Basic Education Commission to access the matching grants for the execution of capital projects and programmes at the basic education level.
I am glad to say that this commitment has earned the state the commendations just as we accord the same commitment to the school feeding programme, procurement of instructional materials and payment of examination fees, among others, he added.

The Governor, therefore, implore the new appointee to contribute his quota for the state to achieve greater heights in this regard.
From the records, we have made the best selection of a new crop of energetic Permanent Secretaries who have gathered the required knowledge and experience in their years of service to enhance service delivery to the good people of Yobe State. You are appointed based on merit, commitment and loyalty.
You are therefore advised to strengthen due process, be proactive and inject fresh ideas to facilitate effective and efficient service delivery.
He reassured that the government would continue to equip and reposition the Public Service to be more responsive to our current demands for speedy and effective implementation of our policies and programmes to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
Reminded of the need to continue to pray to Almighty Allah for the full return of peace, bumper harvest and prosperity in the State and the Nation in general.
